ICA EXPO & Forum Party in Orlando

In Vegas, I drive there and have connections. In Orlando, I know zero. So my Florida wizards, that might be able to help me with this please let me know what you think. I try not to wait until the last minute to do things.

Usually, I try to have the party the first night. A nearby restaurant that can seat 30-35 out of the main area would be nice. That restaurant in San Antonio worked out pretty well. In Vegas, we go to a Tony Romas.

As many of you know I have started throwing a party at the ICA expo, so that forum members that have know each other by name only can meet each other. These have been great parties and a good time had by all.

I have the info for a party the first night of the Expo April 7th. It will be within walking distance of the convention center, so how many people are planning to attend the party?

Do you realize that the "Celebrate 2008" ICA event is at the same time? I know I plan on attending the ICA event. I would also think that the 7th would be a travel day for many, making it less likely that they could make it. I'm sure many just come for the exhibits which don't start until the next day.

I know, I know, you can't please everybody!

Jamie & I are trying to arrange to make it this year, and hoping both boys will be coming too. Can't commit yet though, we're having problems with the #@!!*! schools ... long story, dont ask unless you want to see my head explode. I'll re-post when we have a definite answer.

As many of you know, I live in SE WA state and always drive to Vegas for the convention. This year, I've decided to drive to Orlando and just take my time returning, visiting people and goofing off. I have never seen the Keys, so will go down there before starting back. If any of you are on the way back, I'd be interested in dropping by and visiting.

Houlihan's Restaurants Orlando at 6:30 on the 8th, its within walking distance of the convention center, 9150 International Dr, Orlando - (407) 363-0043 2nd floor, 2 hour time element so don't be late. Food by me, open bar.

As usual the ICA has put together a good show. The Ritz Carlson manger that spoke was so good that I'm moving over to the Ritz.

The Epcott party was really good too and the exhibits were impressive today also. People think that the traffic was down from last year, but I haven't got a count yet.

For those of you that missed the party missed a good one. The food was great and the service was great too.

Ken Shorsher & John Lynn Won $500 of JBS soap,

JJ and Ron Holub won the $250 Wash World Certificates.

Pat Hall and Tim Monolo won the $100 Best Buy Certificates from Shurvend.

We all need to also thank Unitec, ICS and Hamilton for their donations along with Blendco and D & S.

Thanks very much to JBS for the Soap Certificate that my wife won. Now I'm having to pay dearly for that cetificate. She has some ideas how I can claim it. Everyone have a safe trip home. Bill, let us know how you enjoy the Ritz Carlton. Also, how about a running travel log of your trip home.

We had a great time at the forum party in Orlando. Thanks, Bill for organizing it. We got to meet some of the regulars on the forum so we can put a face with their handle. We got to meet and greet many old forum friends and enjoy each other's company.

I also enjoyed the Belanger party, which I crashed. Open bar, hors d' ourves, and a cool little reggae band. They played one song I really enjoyed, so I clapped enthusiastically when it was over and they looked at me and laughed and thanked me. I don't think the others at the party even looked at the band! Good party.

Have fun matching poster "handles" to mugs in that shot --- a wide angle pic which, BTW, is actually a computer "stitch" of several photos.
