I got an email from my lender today saying that they can lower my locked in rate from 5.25% to 4.5%. Costs me $350 and sign my name a few times. How's that for service!

Just had a customer in the detail shop.

An older woman, breathing w/oxygen tank. She had a white Monte Carlo and wanted a detail done. She said she wanted an express service but was told last time she came that we only did full-serve (we now offer express as well).

She said she used to have it done at a carwash in Florida where she also worked. I said "where in Florida?". She said "Zephyr Hills". I said "at Ben's carwash?". She looked at me with stunned disbelief that I would know of Bens Carwash in Zephyr Hills, Fla.

Sorry, Doug. She's MY customer now, babe.:D

Last year (I heard) there was a chocolate fountain! That alone is worth the drive from Massachusetts!

I have a wash location in which we sell washes from the Murphy USA store across the street. It does well and constitutes about 25% of my IBA business. There is another C-store one mile from my location that I am considerer setting up with the POS system at the pumps. Both the owner of the C-store and myself have concerns about the logistics of the wash and gas pumps. Between the Murphy store and the C-store, they sell the bulk of the gas in this small town.

My question...anyone with experiance with POS situation where the two locations are not within eyesite. Do many customers demand refund because they don't want to drive one mile to the car wash? Is there confusion? What can I expect?

I am ready to install the system, but the C-store owner has concerns.

Time to prepare the floor heat boiler for the coming months. I have been using a slabstat, but I have read on the forum that this is not the most efficient way of going about it. I'm looking for a few things:

• What type of stat should I purchase?
• Do I need one for both my incoming and outgoing lines?
• What setpoints are used?
• What type of control thermostat should be used?
• Are there additional money saving options available?

I was about 30% more efficient last year by monitoring flame and making adjustments in reference to the weather. I would like to get another 20-30% worth of efficiency this year if I can replace the old style slabstat with the new aquastat.

Does anyone know if anybody has challenged a sewer charge evaporation allowance in court and won? I think a few have negotiated privately and received some relief, but I'm looking for a court case.

Our city is preparing to change its water/sewer rates and charge 100% for every gallon used as if it had gone down the sewer. This will charge all the irrigators for sewage for watering their yards. For several 100 ratepayers this could amount to over $500 per month each. This has never been done before. This will become a charge with no services rendered.

I just wondered if a court would deem this an "unconstitutional taking".

I am wanting to upgrade my video system to a 16 channel system. I am looking for some input on a good DVR system that will give me a clear picture with the ability to view remotely. I am thinking of a stand alone DVR system instead of a card in a computer. I would also like input from anyone who is using IP cameras instead of a DVR, although I am leaning more towards a DVR system.

Does anyone know of a good supply company that can source me with some strong magnetic locks for my dog wash doors? I'm looking at using the control by web web relay quad to open and close remotely.
